Turnbull Construction Project Managers Ltd. provided complete Project Management/Owner’s Representative services for this 18,000 sq. ft. retail outlet for Princess Auto in Coquitlam, B.C.

The triangular shaped building was squeezed into an environmentally sensitive property adjacent a fish bearing creek and nearby an abandoned landfill site.  CP Rail, GVRD, BC Hydro, Ministry of Environment, and the City of Coquitlam held easements and covenants on the property immediately adjacent the building.  After a 12 month long, complex approval process led by TCPM, the $2.2 million project commenced construction in February 2003.  The project included the revitalization of the entire stream bank through the property.

This facility is Princess Auto’s second retail outlet in the B.C. Lower Mainland.  Opening day was October 21, 2003.

In 2016, TCPM completed a fast-tracked renovation of the Princess Auto Langley store.  The project included a complete refurbishment of the interior on a phased basis while the store remained operational.  Work included a complete re-do of all public washrooms and administration offices, replacement of warehouse area overhead doors, dock leveler plus other minor work in the warehouse area to accommodate the overall store renovation, and complete interior refurbishment of the retail area.
